Bed time Story: Chasing a Dream

Once upon a time, in a charming village nestled deep within the heart of a vast and colourful country known as India, lived a lively young boy named Rohan. He was filled with boundless imagination and had big dreams that sparkled like stars in the night sky. Rohan's heart danced with excitement as he dreamed of the wonderful adventures that awaited him.

Every day, Rohan's mind was filled with fantastical visions of grandeur. He imagined himself soaring high above the rooftops of his quaint village, his spirit as free as a bird. But it wasn't just any dream that captured Rohan's heart—it was a dream of cricketing glory. With each swing of his imaginary bat, he pictured himself wearing the prestigious colours of the Indian national cricket team, representing his beloved country on the grandest stage of them all.

Rohan's passion for cricket knew no bounds. From the crack of dawn until the setting sun painted the sky and farmlands around in hues of orange and gold, he could be found honing his skills on the dusty village grounds. With each ball bowled and every stroke of his bat, Rohan felt himself getting closer to his dream of cricketing stardom.

But Rohan knew that achieving greatness required more than just talent—it required dedication, perseverance, and unwavering determination. And so, with fire in his eyes and a heart full of courage, he set out on a journey to turn his dreams into reality, knowing that with hard work and belief in himself, anything was possible.

In the midst of the simplicity and warmth of his village life, Rohan's dreams seemed to clash with the harsh realities of his family's limited resources. Despite their overflowing love, Rohan's family, burdened by the weight of poverty, struggled to support his cricketing aspirations. They held onto different hopes for him, urging him to tread the well-worn paths of academia, where titles like doctor or engineer awaited—a reflection of the dreams of many young minds in their village.

Yet, Rohan's heartbeat to a different rhythm. While he understood the importance of education, his passion for cricket burned brightly within him. Every spare moment after school found Rohan racing to the streets or fields, where he would immerse himself in the game he loved. He'd often slip out of his house before dawn, the world still asleep, to steal a few precious hours of practice before the responsibilities of the day began. He balanced his devotion to cricket with his commitment to his studies, determined not to let either one falter.

Despite the taunts and laughter of his friends and neighbours, who urged him to focus on his studies like everyone else, Rohan remained steadfast. He knew deep in his heart that cricket was more than just a game—it was his calling, his purpose in life. And so, with unwavering resolve, he chased his dreams, fuelled by the belief that no dream is too big and no obstacle too great when passion lights the way.

Once upon a time, a famous cricket coach visited Rohan's village to pick players for a special team. Rohan saw this as a chance to prove himself and make his dream of becoming a cricketer come true. Gathering all his bravery, he went to try out. But when he got there, he noticed something. All the other kids had fancy sports gear and special bats for playing comfortably, while he had none. Feeling worried and unsure because he didn't have the same resources, Rohan hesitated to sign up. He left the ground feeling sad and sat by the roadside.

A kind coach noticed Rohan looking gloomy and approached him. Rohan felt surprised but attempted to remain calm. The coach inquired about the reason for his sadness, and Rohan explained his desire to join the cricket trials despite lacking the necessary gear. He expressed concern that the officials might not permit him to participate without it.

Patiently, the coach listened and then queried Rohan about his love for playing cricket. Rohan's eyes brightened as he affirmed that it was his favourite activity. Encouragingly, the coach advised him not to let anything hinder his dream if he believed in it.

With renewed determination, Rohan joined the registration line. His performance during the trials amazed everyone, and he caught the eye of the senior coach, who selected him for the team.

Rohan's family was not happy with his decision to join the team, they were worried that this selection might hurt Rohan’s studies and for a long run it won’t be a great Idea. but they eventually gave in when they saw how happy their child was. Rohan worked hard and practiced every day, determined to make his dream a reality. He faced many challenges and setbacks, but he never gave up. Even Rohan himself knew that the decision of getting into a professional cricket might require tremendous effort not only in his game but also in studies because he will have to keep the balance of both studies and his passion cricket. He promised himself that he will work very hard and will give equal efforts on both the fronts studies as well as his game.

Years went by, and Rohan's hard work paid off. He became one of the best players in the team and was selected to play for the Indian national team. His family was proud of him, and the entire village celebrated his success. Rohan's dream had finally come true, and he was grateful for taking the risk and following his heart.

Rohan's story spread throughout the village, and many kids were inspired by his determination and courage. They realized that it's always worth taking a risk for your dreams, even if it means going against what others think is right. They started pursuing their passions, whether it was dancing, painting, or playing sports, and the village became a hub of talented individuals.

From that day on, Rohan became a role model for the kids in the village. He showed them that with hard work, determination, and taking risks, anything is possible. And most importantly, he taught them that it's never too late to chase your dreams, no matter how big or small they may seem.

So, my dear children, always remember Rohan's story and never be afraid to take risks for your dreams. Who knows, maybe one day you'll also become a role model for others, just like Rohan.
