Bedtime story - Fear

On a scorching summer day in a small town, the park was buzzing with excitement as young Rohan and his friends played cricket. The air was thick with anticipation, and the sun beat down relentlessly, but Rohan's passion for the game burned brighter than ever.

Rohan was a cricketing prodigy, with a talent that seemed to shine brighter with each match. His dream of becoming a professional cricketer fuelled his determination, and he poured every ounce of his energy into perfecting his skills.

Deep down, behind Rohan's brave face, there was a tiny feeling of worry – a fear of not winning. When his team started to lose in a game, Rohan's tummy would feel funny, and his hands would get all shaky. This made it hard for him to think clearly, and sometimes he would make mistakes that cost his team a game.

One day, during a super important game against their biggest rivals, Rohan's fear took over completely. The other team was winning, and Rohan felt like a big heavy blanket of nerves was pressing down on him. Suddenly, when the ball flew towards him, instead of catching it like he usually did, he dropped it. And that mistake made his team lose the game.

Rohan felt really sad and disappointed. He didn't mean to let his friends down, but his fear had made him mess up. It was like he couldn't control his feelings, and they made him do things he didn't want to do.

Defeated and feeling really sad, Rohan walked home with his head hanging low. He couldn't stop thinking about the mistake he had made during the game. It felt like a dark cloud was following him, reminding him of his failure. When he finally reached home, he went straight to bed, but sleep didn't come easy.

As Rohan lay in bed that night, tossing and turning, his mind kept going back to the game. He wished he could go back in time and do things differently. That's when he remembered a special story his grandfather had once told him - a story about bravery, adventure, and the search for something amazing.

In the story, there was a young boy who went on a big adventure to find the greatest treasure in the whole wide world. Along the way, he faced all sorts of challenges and obstacles, like scary monsters and tricky puzzles. But even when things got really tough, the boy never gave up. He kept going, with his heart full of courage and his eyes set on the prize.

With every obstacle he conquered, the boy's excitement and determination grew stronger. He knew that if he believed in himself and didn't let fear stop him, he could achieve anything he set his mind to. And in the end, after facing all kinds of challenges, the boy finally found the treasure he had been searching for.

In one scenario that boy had to face a dragon. He Took a deep breath, closed your eyes, and thought of something that made him happy. He Pictured himself standing tall and strong like a superhero! And spoke the magical spell “it's okay to feel nervous, but know that you are braver than you think. Believe in yourself, and step forward with courage. You've got this!"

As Rohan remembered the story in his head, he felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just like the brave boy in the story, he could overcome his fear and bounce back from his defeat. With determination burning in his heart, Rohan made a promise to himself that he wouldn't let fear hold him back anymore. He would face his fears head-on and keep chasing his dreams, no matter what obstacles came his way.

Inspired by the boy's unwavering courage, Rohan realized that he needed to change his mindset. He couldn't let fear dictate his actions on the cricket field. Instead, he needed to focus on the joy of playing the game and trust in his abilities.

The next day, as Rohan stepped onto the field for another match against their rivals, he made a promise to himself. He would play with courage and conviction, leaving his fears behind him.

While he was getting ready to face the baller from opponent team he felt the fear mounting him again. He closed his eyes took a deep breath and said that magical spell “it's okay to feel nervous, but know that you are braver than you think. Believe in yourself, and step forward with courage. You've got this!"

To everyone's amazement, Rohan played like a true champion. With a newfound confidence and determination, he led his team to victory, scoring the winning runs and sealing their triumph.

As his teammates lifted him onto their shoulders in celebration, Rohan felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over him. But more than that, he felt a deep sense of liberation - he had conquered his fear of losing and emerged stronger because of it.

From that day forward, Rohan approached every match with the same enthusiasm and passion, unencumbered by the shackles of fear. He became a shining example of bravery and resilience, inspiring others to chase their dreams with unwavering determination.

And as Rohan's career soared to new heights, he never forgot the valuable lesson he had learned - that in life, it's not about the fear of losing, but the thrill of the journey that truly matters.
